Well said Andy. The 'moral panic' of these groups who seek to ban or restrict expression in order to protect an imagined moral or cultural order is worrying and needs to be challenged at every opportunity. Extremists should not be allowed to set our boundaries in any context.
Thanks for your kind comment JoJo. Yes I agree entirely of course and what really gets to me is the sheer unadulterated arrogance of these people - who the hell do they think they are imposing their moral code and their values on everyone else; they are utterly oblivious to anyone else's beliefs. That to me is the very definition of entitled selfishness.
The leadership fuckwits of Reform/Restore are very much advocating a UK version of Project 2025 and need to be challenged at every given opportunity. Unfortunately our passive and enabling msm who until very recently (pre the £5M bung) were cheerleading Farrige to become the next PM. They need to be held to account as well, otherwise as a country we will end up sleepwalking into our version of The Handmaids Tale.
Fuckwits is a fairly mild descriptive noun to apply to them - I admire your restraint. My choice of anglo-saxon (how appropriate for that lot) language would be somewhat stronger. Yes they do need to be challenged and held to account at every opportunity. One expected the spineless soft approach taken with them from the RW press but the BBC have been rimming Farage like there's no tomorrow until very recently as you say. I suppose this is unsurprising given that the hard-right Gibb runs the BBC News and Politics teams and said he wanted to attract more Reform supporters as viewers. But the gradual chipping away at their outer covering by great news organisations like the New Statesman, Byline Times, the Canary, Searchlight, the Nerve and Best for Britain is beginning to bear fruit and I truly believe that Reform's days are numbered - when it's gone, we'll just be left with the foul and twisted Lowe (I'd hate to see the picture of his soul that's hidden in one of his attics) and his mob of white supremacist nazis to deal with. which should be easier since their communication skills are virtually non existent as you'd expect from people who are basically fascist racist thugs. We're winning, and we absolutely must never give up.
Personally I think Farage and Reform have peaked. In a fit of pique he called a by‑election, thereby achieving the rare feat of generating noise without producing any noticeable enthusiasm. I can't wait for the actual Count!
