This is a little different to my usual stuff. I first wrote these lyrics¹ around Xmas time but Farages’s lies, so easily debunked², come thick and fast. When he threw his tantrum and resigned as an MP only to declare that he’d stand again in what has turned out to be a sort of end-of-the-pier clown show that he calls a by-election, I said to myself, Andy, enough is enough - do something! So I did.

I recorded a few rhythm and lead guitar riffs (I’m not very good but I can lay down a half decent riff) and used some pretty good studio software and a keyboard arranger to enhance them and add the bass and drums. I couldn’t find a vocalist to sing it though - one wasn’t in a position to do it and the schedules of the others I know were rammed. So I had to upload the studio output and lyrics into an AI engine that wouldn’t mess it up too much and this is why some of the vocals have a slightly strange pronunciation.

It’s not the finished article yet, it needs some further work but it’s reasonable enough to preview. If you want to hear the lyrics as best you can (the lyrics are the point of the song), play it LOUD!

I’ve shared this with a few Byline times journalists, other decent social media guys like Femi, Tan Smith and SturdyAlex, some podcasters like Don McGowan, Badassmutha, Marina Purkiss and Jemma Forte plus the tiny number of slebs (well 2 actually) who in a moment of madness decided to follow me. Hopefully one or two of them will pick it up and share it. I’m not doing this for money, I’m doing it to hopefully fuck up what passes for Farage’s mind.

I rushed out a simple video on YouTube because that was the only way I could find of sharing the song.

2. By saying Farage’s lies are so easily debunked, I do not mean that doing so does not take effort. It does. The resolute efforts of some great investigative journalists at Byline Times such as Josiah Mortimer, Sam Bright and Nafeez Ahmed along with diligent seekers of truth like Emma Monk are not to be diminished. I mean simply that in this digital age, the web keeps receipts, and those receipts exist forever.
